This episode explores the complex and important issue of conveying race in dating shows, specifically through the show, Love is Blind. In an era where representation and diversity are critical in the media, dating shows, too, have come under scrutiny for how they handle the sensitive subject of race. Through our survey results and interviews with experts, we examined how dating shows like Love is Blind approach racial representation, their impact on contestants and viewers, and the broader conversations they spark about race, love, and attraction.
