For this episode, we interviewed Black students at UNC, and focused on UNC’s internal communications and PR as well as the Hussman School of Media and Journalism’s in regards to the university’s efforts to increase diversity. We discussed Nikole Hannah-Jones’ tenure debacle as a prime example of UNC’s diversity interests clashing with the board of governors’ expectations of the school.
